Halle Berry is the Most Popular Person From Cleveland, New Interactive Map Shows

Oscar winner, Bond Girl, Catwoman. Now actress Halle Berry can add one more honor to her belt: She's the most-searched for person from Cleveland on the Wikipedia database.

An awesome new interactive "people map of the U.S.," put together by the fine folks at the Pudding, uses Wikipedia search data to show which person is the most popular from, or connected to, a certain city or town.

Obviously, LeBron James takes the crown in Akron and Katie Holmes is the star of Toledo. Take a look at some of the most-searched for people in a zoomed-out view of Ohio below:

While it is a little surprising that Berry — who was born in Cleveland but grew up in Oakwood, Ohio — outpaced "Cleveland Rocks" homeboy Drew Carey in searches, she certainly makes the city look good. Cincinnati's Charles Manson leaves much to be desired, and Mogadore's Donna Simpson (internet celebrity) takes the cake. Just a choice sample from her Wikipedia page right here:

Donna (born 1967) is a woman who in 2008 expressed a desire to become one of the world's heaviest women. She wished to attain a target weight of 1,000 pounds (450 kg). As of June 2010, Simpson weighed 602 pounds (273 kg), down from her weight of 630 pounds (290 kg) in 2008.[1] Simpson maintained a website where fans paid to watch her eat. In 2010, she won the Guinness World Records for the "Heaviest woman to give birth"

What exactly we can learn from all of this information is unclear, but if you have far too much time on your hands there's a lot of useless data here to be mined.
