The Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park has just announced that thousands of motorcyclists will descend upon the casino’s parking lot in August for Ride for the Record, an attempt to set a Guinness World Records, on Sunday, August 28.

They’ll try to set a new record for most motorcycles started simultaneously.

Part of a daylong fundraising event for North Coast Community Homes, Ride for the Record will aim to surpass the record of 1,446 motorcycles set in 2014 in the Philippines. The event begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.; the record breaking attempt takes place at 2:30 p.m. The cover band the Spazmatics will perform, and there will be stunt riders and motorcycle displays, beer and food vendors, raffles, prizes and giveaways.

Tickets are $25 and are available through Ride4Record.org. Walk-ins and non-riders are welcome. All proceeds benefit North Coast Community Homes, an organization which provides homes for men and women who have developmental disabilities, severe mental illness and other disabilities.
