Dennis Kucinich, former subject of west side lawn signs and current Fox News contributor, interviewed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Fox News Senior Correspondent Greg Palkot joined him. The conversation was televised yesterday.
Probably the biggest takeaway from the conversation was an admittance on Assad's part that chemical weapons have been used during the civil war raging in Syria (though he denied that it's a civil war). His statement to Kucinich comes days after Russia and the United States reached an agreement to destroy Syria's cache of chemical weapons within the year.
So after weeks of fiery news coverage and conjecture, the matter of chemical weapons use in Syria is all on the table now.
On Sept. 8, Charlie Rose also interviewed Assad.
