Hiram's Mackenzie Creamery Snags Silver Medal at US Cheese Competition

Mackenzie Creamery in Hiram, Ohio, was honored with the Silver Medal Award at the United States Championship Cheese Competition held March 12-13 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The local company took the second-highest honors for its fresh Cognac Fig Chevre goat cheese.

Owner and head cheesemaker Jean Mackenzie and Rob DeMuch, general manager and assistant cheesemaker, produce award-winning flavors of fresh chèvre, bucheron-style soft ripened cheese, Camembert, and a fresh goat's milk ricotta.

You can find their cheeses online and at Heinen's, Whole Foods, The Cheese Shop at the West Side Market, Mustard Seed Market and at North Union Farmer's Markets.
