Holiday Displays Return to Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in November with Wild Winter Lights

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is bringing back its holiday light event starting next month.

Discontinued after the 2004 season, the zoo has reworked the bright spectacle to include thousands of lights, a visit from Santa, an extremely tall teddy bear and, of course, plenty of animals.

Dubbed the Wild Winter Lights festival, the event officially kicks off Friday, Nov. 22 and runs through Jan. 5 on the weekends from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Some Thursdays and Mondays will also apply.

“We’re always asking guests what events they would like to see," Kelly Manderfield, the zoo's chief marketing officer, told Cleveland.com. "We have heard from guests across the board that they wanted us to bring this back. We knew we could create a special experience for everyone from families to those out on date night.”

Tickets start at $18.50 for those who aren't members of the zoo and $15.50 for members. Find out more about the event and buy tickets at futureforwildlife.org/lights.
