A hot water tank exploded this morning at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center, flooding several floors high up in the tower.

The water tank, located on the 24th floor, ended up bursting and flooding floors 21-23.

Trials will take place today in courtrooms not affected by the flooding, though those trial proceedings on floors 19-23 will be barred to the general public.

Damage is being assessed as the day goes on, and a new tank is expected to be installed soon.
