iPod Intrigue In Case You Want to Know Where Your Craigslist iPod Really Came From

If you’re counting on including a cheap, stolen gently-used iPod from a Craigslist ad on your holiday shopping list, you may want to consider that the people hawking them may soon increase prices to account for hazard pay.

Artur Bytyci of Rocky River, reportedly quite an active Craigslist businessman, found out about the hazards the hard way. He received a text from an Elyria man, Bradley Lester, who he had previously done business with, saying he had 10 iPods available for just $100 each.

They arranged to meet Sunday Kalahari Resort in Sandusky to make the deal. When Bytyci arrived at the front entrance, Lester directed him to a more clandestine location—the Cape Buffalo parking area, and promptly pulled a gun on Bytyci demanding the cash. He apparently didn’t mention anything about handing over 10 iPods in exchange for the money.

The Sandusky Register reports that Lester was apologetic though. “I hate to do this, but I need the money,” he allegedly told Bytyci. But he won’t be able to spend it because he was caught and arrested.
