It's Official. Peet's Is Giving Away Free Drip Coffee From 1-3 p.m. ALL OCTOBER LONG

Intrepid Scene owner and president Andrew Zelman was strolling through Tower City when he was told by an employee at Peet's Coffee and Tea that all Ohio locations would be offering free drip coffee from 1-3 p.m. all October long.

Excuse moi, we inquired? That sounded too good to be true, but we've checked with six of the seven Ohio locations (listed below) and they've confirmed: Free drip coffee, 1-3 p.m., all month. Come and get it while it's hot!

The North Olmsted location will also be offering free sample bags of coffee to brew at home and $1 off all handcrafted drinks.

"Yesterday was national coffee day," said a barista at the Beachwood location. "We're trying to make it last, trying to make our regulars happy, make all our customers happy. Because our coffee's amazing."

A barista at the Columbus North High Street location agreed. "It's just customer appreciation, you know? It's fall time, getting chillier. This is just our way of saying thank you."

(We weren't able to verify with the Hudson location, but representatives at the other stores confirmed that this is a statewide promotion).
