I'm not complaining -- we reporters are all for lax PR -- but it seems like the usually savvy media-relations machine at the Browns let one past them this week, when Jamal Lewis appeared on ESPN's Cold Pizza (the clip is above and here) to discuss Michael Vick's 23-month sentence for killing dogs, beating dogs, etc.
What makes Cleveland's star running back the appropriate person to talk to about jail sentences? Ah yes. He served four months for a federal drug-conspiracy conviction.
Give Lewis credit for going on, and the Browns for letting him. It's not every day you see the guy who scored the winning touchdown on Sunday appear on national television two days later to answer questions like, "So what's the food like in there?" -- Joe P. Tone
