Kid Rock Will Perform on the Final Night of the RNC in Cleveland (But Not at the RNC Itself)

Kid Rock — noted political pundit, Trump supporter, and the man behind something that could charitably be called beer — will bring his down-home American song stylings to Cleveland to help close out the RNC.

Fox 8 reports that Cleveland Rocks 2016 will bring one Robert Ritchie to town for a concert on the banks of the Cuyahoga River by Quicken Loans Arena (we're not sure what the exact location is either, based on that description — Nautica?) on Thursday, July 21.

Mr. Rock, in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year, gave his support to Mr. Trump in words that could only come out of Mr. Rock's mouth.

"I'm digging Trump. I feel like a lot of people, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, feel like if you get Hillary or Bernie, or you get Rubio or Cruz or whoever, there's going to be the same shit. Has that much fucking changed when anyone's in office, whether it's been a Republican or a Democrat in office, in our lifetime, anyway?" Kid Rock asked. "I haven't really seen this big, like, fucking change. Obviously some people fucked up. [Laughs] That's a long debate. My feeling: let the motherfucking business guy run it like a fucking business. And his campaign has been entertaining as shit."

The concert would be produced by Blue Star Productions, the Green Beret Foundation, the Folded Flag Foundation, the Guardians of Heroes Foundation, Ohio Fallen Heroes and ST9. Fox 8 notes those charities would receive proceeds from the show. No info yet on tickets — we heard it could be invite only — but we'll let you know when we get any details.

The Cleveland Rocks 2016 website boasts little to no info about the operation, but the spare info available does note that it'll be bringing "two of the biggest rock bands" to Cleveland. 

Since Kid Rock has now been announced, we're all left waiting to see what those two bands will be and when they'll play.
