The airwaves are filled with debate this morning about LeBron's apology to Cleveland after the Miami Heat dispatched the Celtics last night to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. Mike and Mike covered it, as did local sports talk WKNR, and of course, the Twitterverse is brimming with opinion.
“I couldn’t do it by myself against that team,” James said. “I apologize for the way it happened, but I knew this opportunity was once in a lifetime.”
Our take: We're tired of the conversation, not because we've forgiven LeBron or moved on, but because anyone who doesn't understand how true Cleveland sports fans' lasting and burning hatred will never waver simply doesn't understand the Cleveland sports fan and never will.
