Loud in Cleveland with Lowly, The Tree Ghost

Today we present the 12th episode of Loud in Cleveland, one of our favorite podcasts in town and a great spot to dig into our city's fine music scene.

This week, hosts Drew Maziasz and Michael Cornacchione talk shop with Andrew Arbogast and Emily McKitrick from Lowly, The Tree Ghost

From Drew and Mike:

"As we usually do with our guests, we talked about how they create their music and how their particular sound is made. What seems to be unique to Lowly, The Tree Ghost, however, is the songwriting duo that Andrew and Emily form for the band. They explained to us how the lyrics and music come together through their efforts to become songs that the entire band then collaborates to fill out. Drew summed it up very well when he described the imagery that is painted by their lyrics. We also talked about former band mates, Spinal Tap, old practice rooms, the pros and cons of home recording, and the self-consciousness you feel when you present your song to the rest of the band."

For more of Lowly, The Tree Ghost check out their Bandcamp page or go to their Facebook.

Lowly, The Tree Ghost plays Yorktown Lanes on Saturday.
