It's only Tuesday, but we already have a winner for Dumbest Criminal of the Week.
22-year-old Terrance Barnes had a friend in the Summit County jail, and being a good friend, he didn't flinch when asked to come to the facility to deposit money into the inmate's account. That's what buds are for, after all. His friend would likely do the same for him.
A small tip, though, would have been helpful for Barnes: Bring the money, leave the drugs. Unfortunately, Barnes carried in a pocketful of marijuana, and when he was told to empty his pockets to pass through a metal detector, he took the pot out of his pocket and put the weed in a basket with the rest of his possessions and handed it over to jail staffers. Derpy derpity derp.
Fox 8 reports that Barnes was arrested and charged with possession and bringing drugs onto "grounds of a detention facility."
