Saturday evening a man walked into a Jared Jewelry store in Copley and asked for "the largest diamond they had."
That might have been the first clue to the sales associate that something was amiss. No questions about clarity, cut, settings, or color. Nope. This guy just wanted the biggest rock Jared had.
You can probably guess what happened next, and this won't be in any of those "He went to Jared" commercials.
Yes, he grabbed the diamond, estimated at 3.95 carats and valued at $62,500, and ran out of the store.
