Medina Man Triggers Stand off with Police Because of "Bad Day"

Had a bad day? Brother, we've been there. The boss don't understand. The old lady is dishing fresh grief. The kids are hooliganing around town again and the car won't start. The remedy options are few: about all you can do is guzzle some High Life and head off to bed, try it all over again tomorrow, right? That, or you can squeeze off a few rounds at passing traffic and barricade yourself inside a trailer with an arsenal of small arms.

The lede says it all. Medina police arrested an individual last night after he provoked a stand off at the intersection of route 83 and 71, so says WKYC. Authorities were initially tipped off when the 51-year-old suspect allegedly took shots at a passing car. He fled to his trailer. When the police came by to put the cuff on him, he refused to come out. The batsignal went out to the SWAT team, but before the still-unidentified Northeast Ohioan faced that music, he wised up and surrendered.

When the police asked WTF was he thinking, the individual replied he was “having a bad day.”
