Charges have yet to be filed, but police, Case Western Reserve University and MetroHealth Medical Center are looking into a hospital employee who may have stolen money.

The woman managed research grant accounts for CWRU. MetroHealth police told the university about the possible theft on March 17, and a police report was filed.

The university released the following statement while declining to speak further on the investigation:
Case Western Reserve is complying fully with law enforcement and federal authorities involved in this matter. The university cannot comment further on an ongoing investigation.

The grants in question are used for hospital and CWRU's medical student training.
