Morning Brew: Browns Training Camp, Board of Revision to Actually Work, Auditor's Office Analyzed, and Traffic Cameras

Good morning, Cleveland. Here's some stuff to read while you get insanely jealous that this is Joe Thomas' aunt and not yours.

— Browns training camp has kicked off and Joe Thomas' aunt, Mary Steinkraus, has been spotted hanging around Berea. We don't know about you, but we want to drink with her. (

— The Cuyahoga County Board of Revision was found to be entirely dysfunctional in a recent audit. There were delays of up to a year for taxpayers to hear verdicts on their appeals, shady dealings, allegations of corruption, and official decisions made without board meetings. And, of course, employees like Tom Bush were working just a couple of hours a day. The board will now, you know, work — like a full day! — to get rid of the backlog and get the office running more efficiently. (

— Another audit, this one of the Frank Russo's auditor's office, found countless problems: Ridiculously high pay, over-staffing, a complete lack of accountability, and an office that spends $2 million more doing business than comparably sized auditor offices in other cities. We will wait a minute to let you get over the shock. (

— Traffic cameras are being targeted by Garfield Hts. residents. We can't imagine which side most citizens are on this issue. (Fox 8)
