Morning Brew: Rats in Akron Toilets, Braylon Edwards Won't Shut Up About Cleveland, Another Ohio Execution, and More Trouble at the Board of Revision

Nightmare fuel.
  • Nightmare fuel.

Good morning, Cleveland. Here's some stuff to read while you have nightmares about rats in your toilet.

— It's been awhile since Braylon Edwards was shipped out to the Jets in a trade following multiple years of leading the league in talking shit while dropping everything thrown his way. Of course, that's not how Braylon remembers it. He continues to run his mouth about Cleveland, telling a reporter: ""There's nothing going on in Cleveland. There's no real estate. There's no social life, no social networking. All the people who have something going on leave Cleveland. So Cleveland has nothing, and I came in there with a New York-type of essence. So what? That was the attitude I came in with. Like, this is who I am. They didn't like the flash." Or the fact that you sucked. Either way. (Pro Football Talk)

— With all the revelations coming out recently about the Cuyahoga County Board of Revisions, you wouldn't be wrong in assuming two things: 1) It seems as if no one in the county even knew it existed until two weeks ago, and 2) Everyone there was either corrupt, dumb, or some combination of the two. (Cleveland.com)

— Rats in the toilet at an Akron home. Don't worry, they were only 12-13 inches long. Try not thinking about that while going to the bathroom today. Go ahead, try. (WKYC)

— Roderick Davie will be the seventh person put to death by the state of Ohio this year. (Cleveland.com)
