Ohio Man Finds 285 Pounds of Weed in a Gun Safe He Bought

Now, before you all run out and buy up thousands of dollars worth of gun safes off the Internet, it's worth pointing out that the sort of thing you're about to read is fairly rare.

But here goes:

A Sidney, Ohio, man purchased a six-foot-tall, $1,700 gun safe off the Internet only to find $425,000 worth of weed inside. That's nearly 300 pounds of herb. The safe was built by Champion Safe Co., based in Nogales, Mexico.

“Someplace between Mexico and the warehouse in northern Ohio, the drugs got mixed up and put in the wrong safe and got delivered to the wrong person,” Shelby County Sheriff John Lenhart said, per ABC.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency's eyes are geared toward northern Ohio, hoping to seek out the Conway Inc. driver who delivered the safe to the warehouse.
