Shat hath hit the sputtering fan of journalism once again. The famed E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University has renamed its newsroom after Roger Ailes, a man who brazenly corrupts more or less everything they teach. Ailes is the president of Fox News Channel. He was hired in 1996 by Rupert Murdoch on the strength of his experience as a political spinster for Nixon, Reagan, and H.W. Bush. He transformed the news network into shout-and-be-damned shock center for conservative nut-bags. It was hit, of course, and it made him tons of cash. All he had to do was sell his soul. ...
