Ohio University Frat Suspended Amid Probe into Saucy Serenade

Ohio University's Acacia fraternity chapter was seeking more than just a captive audience when it serenaded sorority Alpha Delta Pi last week. 

According to Gawker, the frat, gathered on the porch of the sorority, sang its raunchy rendition of the Beatles' "Hey Jude," entitled "Send Nudes.'

In a video posted to Twitter, the boys sing, "Send nudes. Don't let me down. Take my soft dick and make it harder." Since, Acacia has been suspended while an investigation of the incident is underway. 

Though the ditty may seem harmless, especially given the reputation fraternities carry, OU isn't taking the performance lightly. Acacia and its off-campus house are infamous among OU students, garnering negative attention from local and student news outlets amid sexual assault rumors.

According to the university's student paper The Post, OU's student union issued flyers to incoming freshmen this past August, warning them of Acacia's reputation. On the handouts, the union advised women to avoid Acacia's house entirely and listed tips on how to recognize when a drink's been roofied. A petition was also published on change.org by a group called "FuckRapeCulture OU" to ban Acacia from the school. There, the group claims social medium Yik Yak has been used by frat members to brag about conquests, consensual and non-consensual. The petition, with over 1,000 signatures, invites personal testimonials from girls claiming to have been assaulted by the brothers.

Of course, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Of the several investigations of Acacia regarding sexual assault, none have yielded anything definitive against the frat, leaving some students to believe the allegations are nothing but catty rumors.

A final ruling on Acacia's will be brought down once the investigation of the boys'  performance concludes. ADPi has since defended Acacia, saying the song was taken out of context.
