The Plain Dealer reports that Andrey Bridges, a 36-year-old Parma man, has been charged with aggravated murder and other crimes in the death of Cemia "CeCe" Dove, the transgender woman recovered from an Olmsted Township pond last month.

The PD, almost brazenly, continues to refer to the victim as Carl Acoff, notwithstanding a vigil-slash-rally held to honor the memory and legacy of CeCe while chastising mainstream media for insensitivity.

Bridges has an involved criminal history, including 4 stints in prison. He was most recently released in July, 2011.

Here's a dandy from his felonious-assault archives:

A police report claims Bridges went to pick up the woman at work on June 25, 2010, and that when they met he demanded the money she made that evening. She refused to give it to him, so he beat her so bad she had to be admitted to the hospital with a collapsed lung, broken ribs and other injuries, according to the report.

Bridges is expected to appear before a County Common Please judge today at 1:45 p.m.
