Pinecrest, the popular mixed-use district on the east side, has just announced its summer schedule.

“We’re coming off our inaugural year and want to build on the success of last summer’s events,” says Lisa Pocci, Vice President of Marketing for Fairmount Properties, in a press release. “It is our privilege to provide opportunities for the local community to come together in unique ways.”

There will be free Outdoor Community Yoga Classes with Citizen Yoga at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in Central Park, movie nights at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, a farmers market every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fit4Mom Body Back Summer workouts at 7:30 a.m. on Saturdays and free community concerts at 3 p.m. every Sunday.

In addition, Give Gifted will host its first-ever Summer Marketplace from 1 to 9 p.m. on June 8 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 9, and a Heart and Home Marketplace takes place from noon to 6 p.m. on Sept. 7. It’ll feature handmade vendors and live music in Central Park.

New tenants such as Oak & Embers Tavern, Inca Bar & Café and Sephora are all scheduled to open this summer as well.
