Prankster Posts Craigslist Ad Selling the University of Akron

In light of monstrous University of Akron budget cuts — which total more than $40 million and affect thousands of students, staff, and community members — a fake ad was placed on Craigslist this morning declaring the academic institution up for sale.

The listing, which has since been pulled from the site, indicated that E.J. Thomas Hall, the Goodyear Polymer Center, and Quaker Square, and other properties, would be included for any buyer willing to shell out a cool $40,000,000 (OBO).

The ad was "signed" by prez Scarborough, though it's speculated that a former UA student created the listing.

Here's a screenshot of the ad (or Cleveland.com has a more legible PDF).
