Q&A With Cheney Larschied

The Cavs Dancer Who You'll Find In The Latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Cavs dancer Cheney Larschied appears in Sports Illustrated's annual swimsuit issue, on newsstands and CNNSI.com right now. Cheney, 22, who hails from Lima, blogged about her photo shoot at CavFanatic.com. I had other things on my mind when I got her on the phone.

When I manage to make it to a game, I usually sit way up in Loudville in the nosebleeds. The problem is, you and the other dancers toss out the little orange basketballs and no one's ever thrown one up there. Can you practice that?

I can practice on tossing, but it's hard for me. I'm not very good at throwing.

You should be able to use that giant machine that Moondog uses to shoot the balls.

That thing is awesome. We need those.

I'm always amazed at the adults who dive for the balls like it's a bag of money.

You'd be surprised at how many scream for them. They're for the kids.

What do you do during your free time?

I'm a homebody. I watch movies and make dinner.

What's your specialty when you cook?

Not much. I'm so busy. I do the microwaveable thing a lot.

How many people have asked you to autograph their copy of the issue?

Just one person. He had the magazine at the game. - Grzegorek
