Ranked: Ohio One of the Most Obese States in the Nation

The numbers have been crunched, folks, and this year Ohio comes in as one of the most obese states in the nation.

According to new data by the United Health Foundation, there are only 11 other states that rank higher in obesity and only 9 others that rank worse in overall health. We're also in the top 5 for diabetes.

The foundation defines obesity as having a body mass index of 30.0 or higher, and links much of our poor health to lack of exercise.

It also notes that more than 2.2 million Ohioans remain physically inactive on a day to day basis— that's more than 1 in every 4 adults.

Yikes.
