Report: Cory Barron's Death May Have Involved 'Foul Play'

A Fox 8 I-Team report reveals that a team of former federal agents may have linked suspected "foul play" to Cory Barron's 2014 death, when his body was discovered at an Oberlin landfill after the 22-year-old went missing at a concert at Progressive Field.

The International Research Group investigators tell Fox 8 that Barron "may have been dead when he was put in the chute, or at least incapacitated or unconscious."

“It’s absurd to think this is accidental,” Dick Wrenn told the station. “We believe the blows to the head and the ribs indicate the probability that this kid was hit and kicked, and then picked up and sent feet first down the garbage chute."

Prosecutors at the time ruled that there was no evidence of a crime. The cause of his death remains officially undetermined
