Ric Bucher Set to Write Behind-the-Scenes Account of Heat's LeBron/Bosh/Wade Score

Hopefully it will be better than this book.

It's not just Cavs fans. Everywhere across the NBA universe people are obsessed with how the Miami Heat managed to land LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade.

We've already had Brian Windhorst's initial foray into explaining the behind-the-scenes actions, talks, and meetings that help to explain LeBron's decision to take his talents to South Beach.

Adrian Wojnarowski chimed in later, providing more detail on LeBron's time with USA Basketball and opinions of the star from around the league and the NBA league office.

It's not enough though. Never is.

What really happened in the Celtics series? What really happened with Delonte West? Just how much dirt is there on LeBron James? What were the hour-by-hour decisions that that culminated in the Heat becoming the New York Yankees of the NBA? What does this mean for the future of the league?

Answers. We want answers.

Perhaps Ric Bucher will have some in his new book. Sportsgrid says that Bucher has reached an agreement with Houghton Mifflin to write a tell-all, behind-the-scenes account of the Heat's free agency haul — from New York to Cleveland to Miami and everywhere in between.

Bucher’s “behind-the-scenes story of the Miami Heat’s hijacking of the NBA” was snagged by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt yesterday, according to Publisher’s Marketplace. No word yet on when the book will be published, or how much Bucher’s deal is worth.

The book will deal with the LeBron’s signing with Miami and the “resulting upheaval across the entire league, from Nike headquarters to the Knicks’ war room, from South Beach to Cleveland, LA to the Boston parquet — in short, the struggle for the future of professional basketball.” Spicy.

Bound to be an interesting read.
