Rock Hall announces details regarding Rolling Stones exhibit

Today the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum released more details regarding Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction, the exhibition that's set to open on Friday, May 24. The exhibit will take up over two floors of the museum and will include a fan-generated interactive exhibit (fans can begin submit photos to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #rockhallsatisfaction). According to a Rock Hall press release, a few of the artifacts that will be on display include: Mick Jagger’s Steel Wheels green leather jacket; Mick Jagger’s grammar school class photograph from the Dartfordian; Keith Richards’ Rosewood Fender Telecaster; Charlie Watts’ mariachi shirt; Ronnie Wood’s Zemaitis guitar; and Brian Jones’ custom Vox teardrop guitar. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Library and Archives will have a companion exhibit that will include materials from the Stones’ tours that took place from 1975 to 1981. Additionally, the Rock Hall will announce a series of free public programs connected to the exhibit. Starting May 25, museum hours on Saturdays will extend to 9 p.m. The exhibit is set to close in March of 2014.
