The Rock Hall today announced it will open a new exhibit featuring items from the 2013 class of inductees. The exhibit, which is slated to open on April 16 in the Museum’s Hall of Fame Wing, will include items such as the Dean Baby Z Custom guitar that Heart’s Nancy Wilson played on Heart’s Bad Animals tour of 1987 and the Bolin Custom Electric Guitar that ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons gave to bluesman Albert King on Christmas Day of 1987. Other items include: Randy Newman’s Primetime Emmy Award from 2003; the Nike Aqua Gear jacket worn by Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav in 1990; the bass guitar that Rush’s Geddy Lee played on the band’s hit “Tom Sawyer”; and the musical score Quincy Jones penned for Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The exhibit will be on display until March of 2014.
