LeBron James and high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson are getting married, according to People.com.
The ceremony is set for sometime between September 13-15 in San Diego, California. In predictably lavish fashion, the "Royal Couple" have issued "Save the Weekend" pre-invitations in lieu of the more humble Save-the-dates. Reports describe the card's artwork as a caricature of the family flying into California in a plane. Awwwww.
Savannah Brinson is the mother of LeBron's two children, 8-year-old LeBron Jr. and 5-year-old Bryce Maximus. The couple got engaged on New Year's Eve in 2011.
TMZ notes that Sep. 13 marks the beginning of Yom Kippur, which would only be an issue if LeBron intends to invite his "Team Sudden" assistant Coach Omri Casspi.
Is the wedding a sign of maturity — no more outlandish club parties, Mr. James? — or a soft indication that he'd like to move back to Akron as an honest family man?
