But for foodies seeking something more than the usual clams-corn-chicken lineup, Salmon Dave's annual Maine Event — which turns the focus on fresh Maine lobster — always serves as a highly anticipated alternative.

“This is our 18th year for the promotion and we continue to maintain the value,” says George Schindler, owner and president of parent company Hospitality Restaurants. Not surprisingly, the popularity remains high. "Some of our regular guests start calling around Labor Day to make sure they don’t miss out on it!” Schindler says.
