Back in the '80s, Indians outfielder Joe Charboneau became known for his eccentric behavior.
He dyed his hair and opened beer bottles with his eye socket. He even inspired the novelty tune “Go Joe Charboneau.”
After a promising start (and winning AL Rookie of the Year), he quickly faded and played only two years. But he certainly left a lasting impression.
On Friday, he’ll appear at JACK Cleveland Casino as part of the casino’s Opening Day celebration. He’ll sign autographs and take photos from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The casino will also offer drink specials and give away signed Indians swag to celebrate the first Indians home game of the season.
