“Sustainability” — that 21st-century term used to glorify 3rd-century ways of living — generally conjures images of rain barrels and streetcorner gardens.
Now your friends at Future Heights (www.futureheights.org) are sprinkling a little old-fashioned technology in your granola: The Cleveland Heights group has started an interactive community mapping program. It allows residents to note areas where sustainable things — grass, trees, etc. — are happening throughout Cleveland Heights and University Heights.
A mobile app is also in the works to help identify green locations, at least until such devices are deemed unsustainable.
