[image-1]A new Associated Press report confirms more than 20,000 "uncertified" write-in votes cast in Ohio during the Nov. 8 presidential election. That's on top of the 16,000 votes cast for "
certified" write-in candidates.
John Glenn and Urban Meyer were "favorites" among the write-in set this year,
according to the Columbus Dispatch. Reports that the late Cincinnati Zoo gorilla Harambe was raking in the write-in votes have gone unconfirmed.
Even Gov. John Kasich chose this route: He wrote in Sen. John McCain's name on his ballot. And Sen. Rob Portman wrote in
Gov. Mike Pence's name in the top-of-the-ticket presidential slot.
To make this news even more interesting, though, consider than the 2012 presidential election saw only 37 write-in votes here in Ohio.
Hard to say what the big difference was this year.
