Yesterday, The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo officially announced the birth of an adorable baby giraffe.

Born April 15, park visitors can now get acquainted with the male calf and his mom Jada in the giraffe barn, where he's been nursing.

The new calf weighed around 101 pounds at birth, which is about 50 pounds underweight. He did, however, stand a little taller than the average fully-grown human, at 6 feet.

The baby, who is the first giraffe born since Bo in 2017, is being cared for and closely monitored by the zoo's animal care teams and veterinarians.

The unnamed animal and his mom are joining his dad, Bo, and the rest of the Masai giraffe herd in their outdoor habitat soon. The zoo is giving the public the opportunity to name the baby in the near future.
