This Gigantic Beer Can Pyramid Was Probably the Best Thing to Happen at Progressive Field Over the Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was shaping up to be a big one for the Tribe. The Indians had climbed within earshot of first place in the AL Central and welcomed Baltimore to the Jake for a three-game set (Friday through Sunday) before playing the Rangers on Memorial Day proper. Sadly, Saturday proved to be the only W of the four games, briefly pushing the Indians atop the pile. (They're now sitting 1.5 games back of the Royals.)

So there were three losses to endure in what could have been a great weekend, but at least Tribe fans did walk away triumphant winners in a way the actual Tribe were not: Some fans in right field constructed a beer can pyramid (112 cans!) even the Egyptians would be proud of. (Pic via Reddit.)

As with all things Cleveland though, the tale ends in sadness and stadium personnel directing the Miller Lite architects to take down the structure.
