It's unclear whether a drunken man from Ohio who was arrested in Palm Coast, Fla., earlier this week was a Miami Heat fan. But authorities say his three children jumped out of his moving car because he was shitfaced drunk behind the wheel.
So probably a Heat fan.
The children told deputies there that they were afraid — go figure — and got the hell out of the car when their dad slowed down a bit. They went to a neighbor’s house where they called for help. Via the charging affidavit, pops never went back to get them. He showed up hours later and was arrested on scene.
Father. Of. The. Year.
The guy's name is Demitri Nicholas. He's 41 and makes camp in Piqua, a tiny village in the Dayton metro area. It's unclear why they were visiting Florida, but this vacation probably won't be remembered fondly. Nicholas has been charged with felony child neglect. He’s been released from the Flagler County Jail after posting $2,500 bond.
