Two Kent State Students Finally Meet On TV This Morning, After Years of Tinder Messaging

There's nothing like meeting for the first time in three years, on TV, in front of millions of viewers ...

But that's exactly what two Kent State Students, who'd kept up a Tinder conversation for more than three years without ever meeting up for a coffee, hookup, or otherwise, did on Good Morning America this morning. Seeing one another for the first time, Michelle Arendas and Josh Avsec appeared more than a little nervous and embarrassed, and who could blame them? The pair's love life (or lack there of) has been the subject of much internet excitement over the past couple weeks, after Avsec posted his hilarious on-and-off-again Tinder texts with Arendas on Twitter.

Tinder also found the posts pretty amazing, too, deciding to gift the potential love birds with a trip anywhere they wanted. The non-couple, naturally, eventually decided on Hawaii.
But before that trip could take place, the good folks at Good Morning America invited the pair to meet for the first time on their show. So this morning, after all of the jokes, internet fame and near-miss meetings, the Ohio natives finally saw each other in the flesh for the first time.

In an earlier interview with WKYC 3, Avsec admitted that the two have "been told by, like, 600 people to get married."

If nothing else, the students will at least have a nice trip to Maui.
