You can add several more free summer activities to your list of things to do once the weather warms up.
Earlier today, University Circle Inc. and Case Western Reserve University announced that their
Uptown Summer Series will debut on Saturday, June 2, with the Uptown Miniature Golf and Ice Cream Social. The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. on Toby's Plaza, and there will be a 9-hole miniature golf course. Piccadilly Artisan Creamery and Mitchell's Ice Cream will hand out complimentary treats.
Then, every Friday from June 15 through September 14, local bands will perform as part of the Out to Lunch Series, free events that take place at Toby's Plaza from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Bands will play from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and then panel discussions on “entertaining and informative science topics” will take place from 1 to 2 p.m.
Starting on June 10, on Sundays, there will be Outdoor fitness classes and recess games as part of Shape Up Sundays. Those events will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Toby’s Plaza.
The University Circle folks have planned a wide range of programming for the summer. Check the schedule at
