What To Do This Week: Get Out!

If you've got the time, we've got the stuff to do. Here are three ways to make your work week pass faster:

Monday, September 10
Taste of the Browns
The Browns may not be the winningest team in the NFL, but for the past 14 years they’ve shown an admirable social conscience with the annual Taste of the Browns Celebrity Dinner, which benefits the Cleveland Foodbank. More than $140,000 was raised last year, enough to pay for half a million meals in Northeast Ohio. Guests can fill their plates with food prepared by top area chefs from restaurants like Momocho, L’Albatros, and Fahrenheit, then socialize with current and former Browns players. Two of them are event co-hosts: current player (and serious foodie) Joe Thomas and former player Al “Bubba” Baker, who has become a celebrity chef himself with his popular Bubba’s Q barbecue joint in Avon. Among the many raffle prizes is a catered tailgate party for 30 featuring Bubba’s specialty ribs, which the affable restaurateur will personally deliver. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at the A T & T Club View Lounge at Browns Stadium. Tickets are $150 by phone, online, or at the door.
