Like Deer Tick, Dawes, and other new-generation roots rockers, New York quintet Hollis Brown wraps the warm sounds of 1970s Laurel Canyon in blankets of stinging guitars and tossed-off breeziness.

Their new EP Nothing & the Famous No One sounds like a looser version of the Band's Americana.
