What You Need to Know About Cleveland Oktoberfest

It's a tradition in these parts to celebrate Oktoberfest over Labor Day weekend. The annual event, which takes place at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds, features German food, beer and music over the course of the long weekend. The event begins tomorrow.

You can chow down on pierogis, cabbage, noodles and potato pancakes.

A variety of musical acts will perform too. In addition to the acts playing traditional music, a Journey tribute band will perform as will a Bob Seger tribute act. The popular local country act Post Road will play and Ted Vigil will pay tribute to the late John Denver.

A slew of different microbreweries will compete in the Microbrew Competition.

Admission is $12 for adults; children 12 and under are free. Parking is free.

The event runs through Monday.
