Those purchasing items on Craigslist and other online exchange sites now have reason to feel safer in Ohio, as several local police departments are establishing safe exchange zones where online buyers can meet to purchase items like furniture, cars and whatever else you can legally buy on the internet.

The Rocky River police force recently created a 'MeetUp Spot' outside of its police department, which is under surveillance, while Valley View and Olmsted Falls are establishing similar spots this week.

As internet meet-up crimes are a continuous cause for concern nationally, exchange zones offer Ohioans a safe alternative from the obvious risks of meeting a stranger for an online sale.
