Kim Osorio's sexual-harassment suit

Kim Osorio
I read the article/ interview about Kim Osorio's sexual-harassment lawsuit ["All Eyes on Her," November 8]. I understand that she was found to be a victim and it is against the law, but $15.5 mil? There was slander involved, so I guess you could add a million or two; but, still, I'm not sure what kind of injury she suffered that should give her a golden parachute for life. Isn't this verdict a bit excessive? Yes, this might prevent other women from being victims, but shouldn't the punishment fit the crime? You could also conclude that kind of payday might indeed cause others to find indiscretion where there isn't any. Obviously, life isn't fair, but this effort seems to be an extreme in the other direction. What are your thoughts on this? Steve Wagner Cleveland Heights
