Reality TV Star Writes Book!

Posted By on Fri, Dec 22, 2006 at 1:18 PM

After getting dumped from her TV romance, Jen Schefft decided to write a book on the beauty of being single
Jen Schefft, the Mentor native most famous for getting engaged to gazillionaire Andrew Firestone on The Bachelor, then subsequently getting dumped has — surprise! surprise!-- written a book about the experience called Better Single Than Sorry: A No-Regrets Guide to Loving Yourself and Never Settling. This, Jen's publicist has assured us, is not simply a long-winded address to her mother about the reasons why she's still single, but rather a self-empowering look about "the upsides of being single" and the "importance of being happy alone before getting in a relationship." Consider this a perfect last minute holiday gift for that perpetually single friend of yours. We're sure she'll appreciate the insinuation. For those looking for in-person advice from the self-help guru, Schefft will be at Joseph Beth Booksellers on Friday, February 12th at 7 p.m. — Rebecca Meiser
