The unseemly fight over Delvon Roe

Posted By on Thu, Apr 19, 2007 at 12:25 AM

Delvon Roe
I never used to understand my female friends' fixation with celebrities. Who gives a rat's ass where Paris was partying last night? That all changed a couple years ago when I started following college recruiting. Football. Basketball. Doesn't matter. Want to see grown men moved to celebratory tears or bawl like babies over the whims of high school boys? All you have to do is check out the message boards where University of North Carolina or Michigan State University fans post their musings. That's because Delvon Roe, the basketball phenom from Lakewood, just announced which school will be his stop over before heading to the NBA. The lucky basketball farm ... er ... I mean college? Michigan State University. -- T.K. Kim
