Roger Brown Reappears in Lorain County

Posted By on Tue, May 1, 2007 at 1:02 PM

Word is Northeast Ohio’s favorite sports-gossip columnist has quietly resurfaced on the Sunday pages of the Lorain Morning Journal and Lake County News-Herald. Roger Brown dropped a few columns in February and March, then, in a tribute to the late Sam Fulwood, took a few weeks off. “But he’s writing every week now,” says a source at the News-Herald. Still, if you’re absolutely dying to know what Browns linebacker Andra Davis paid for his new home in Strongsville, you won’t find it on either of the papers’ websites. Management is intentionally keeping Brown’s column offline in the hopes his hollow schtick will help them sell more papers. Of course, this is the same company that’s begging readers to flood its tiplines with stories about overblown birthday parties... – Jason Nedley
