Money Where Your Mouth Is: Robbing Mary

Posted By on Tue, Jul 10, 2007 at 12:38 PM

The Scene Music Department isn't available right now; their mothers didn't pick them up from the Live Earth concert. To learn more about Friday's Robbing Mary show, you'll have to get it straight from guitarist Steve Keefe. Band: Robbing Mary Hometown: Cleveland Sounds like: "Son Volt meets the Drive-By Truckers meets Golden Smog, with plenty of dueling guitar and electric violin improvisation and male-female vocal harmonies to boot." Fun fact: "Robbing Mary is getting ready to head into the recording studio this fall, with an anticipated full-length CD release of early 2008. Thanks for all of the local support, Cleveland." Playing: 10 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Wilbert's (812 Huron Avenue, 216-902-4663, across from Jacob's Field). Why They Should Come See You: "Wilbert's has a great stage, a diverse crowd, and plenty of great beverages to keep shaking your moneymaker all night long." -- Steve Keefe, guitars and gass
