We read Kevin O'Brien so you don't have to ... Column: It's nice to see a gun even things up a bit December 12, 2007 Topic: Kevin addresses the recent religious shootings in Colorado, where two teenage girls died, their dad got shot, but at least a church security guard got to blast a bad guy. Kevin's Sanity Level Today: 63 percent What Your Head Would Feel Like if You Read it Yourself: Imagine a fat guy sitting on it right after he ate Thanksgiving dinner. Charting Kevin's Logic: 1. Because here in America, guns are easier to get your mitts on than Velveeta in an Missouri trailer court... 2. The guys who get them sometimes shoot up little girls, Nebraska malls, certain high schools and East Side colleges in Cleveland, etc., etc... 3. Which makes U.S. gun violence way higher than in any other industrialized country... 4. But sometimes a good person just happens to have a gun when a bad guy comes around... 5. And sometimes that good person shoots the bad guy... 6. Which makes all those other senseless deaths really worth it, now doesn't it?
